    Beginning on August 25, stop into your local Love's Travel Stop to grab some gas while getting on the road, some snacks for your trip and while your there, make a donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Love's Miracle Balloon Campaign gives customers the opportunity to buy $1, $3 or $5 balloons through September 30 as a donation to All Children's Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine, your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.

  • Medical Explorers Open House

    Medical Explorers is program offered by All Children's Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine to young men and women in grades 10th – 12th with an interest in learning more about careers in the health care field.

    All Children's will host an open house on Thursday, September 3rd from 4–5 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Outpatient Care Center, Conference Rooms A and B. Students and their families may attend to learn more about our program and to also meet the staff. If you are a current Medical Explorer, we encourage you to attend. After the open house, new members will have an opportunity to apply for a specific number of open spots available, which varies every year.

  • 8th Annual Clearwater Run, Walk and Cycle

    Join the Brain Tumor Alliance for its 8th Annual event in Clearwater, Florida. You can cycle, run, walk or both along the beautiful intercoastal waterway and along the Gulf of Mexico from Clearwater to Tierre Verde.

    • 10k/5k Run/Walk: $35 through 9/3 with increase to $40
    • Dual Challenge: $50 through 9/3 with increase to $55
    • Cycle Ride: $45 throuh 9/3 with increase to $50
    • 1M Family Fun Run/Survivor Tribute: $30 with increase to $35 after 9/3

    Virtual participants welcomed: $30 fee.

    Day of registration fees will increase an additional $5.

    All fees include an event tech shirt if registered by 9/03/2015. After this date, only while supplies last. Medals will be awarded to the top three males and females in 14 age categories.

  • "Fireman John" Memorial Fishing Tournament

    The "Fireman John" Memorial Fishing Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 19. Weigh-in for your Red Fish and Trout is at 4 p.m. at the Fat Cat Tavern in Largo (3665 East Bay Dr.).

    The event is in memory of retired Pinellas Park fire fighter, John Litz, who was an avid fisherman. In September 2011, while fishing with a friend, John was thrown from the boat and drowned. He was not wearing a life jacket. Proceeds of the tournament will benefit All Children's Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in support of FloridaSafePools.com and will purchase U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets for kids.

    You must attend the mandatory registration meeting to pick up your measuring device on September 18 at the Fat Cat Tavern from 6-8 p.m.

    It's time to make the pledge to play games and heal kids! Thousands of gamers will come together to play for 24 hours for Extra Life - a gaming event in support on Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. This year, Extra Life will begin on Saturday, November 7 at 8:00am.

    Extra Life works just like a run, walk, or bike event, except that you never have to leave the comfort of your living room to participate. Just log on to extra-life.org and register yourself and/or your fundraising team. Then, ask your friends and family to support your efforts to Play Games and Heal Kids for as little as $1/hour.

     Everyone can participate. Hard-core gamers to families to athletes, as you can play any game(s) you want on any platform you want! Players can game for the 24 hours on November 7, spread out their hours over several days or play as a relay among team members. When and how you play is up to you.
