All Children’s Hospital Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists adolescent gynecology clinic provides consultation, evaluation and treatment of adolescent girls with gynecological concerns in a caring and sensitive environment. We provide health education and guidance for teens and parents as well as screening and preventive health care services as needed.

Women have unique health care needs. Women can also have unique health care problems that can be embarrassing and affect one’s quality of life. Urinary incontinence, bladder problems, pelvic or bladder pain, pelvic muscle and support problems are some of the many issues that women may encounter. Services offered include:
- Evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence
- Treatment for overactive bladder
- Interstitial cystitis testing
- Physical therapy referral and biofeedback training to help strengthen pelvic floor muscles
- In-office urodynamic testing
Urodynamics is a series of tests designed to thoroughly evaluate bladder and urethral function. In order to understand every detail of your bladder problem, these tests record very precise scientific data on your bladder’s ability to store and empty urine. These studies are conducted to evaluate leaking urine, difficulty emptying the bladder, frequent urination, recurrent infections, blood in the urine and loss of bladder support.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Our Licensed Clinical Social Worker enhances the services at ACH Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists by providing a comprehensive assessment of needs and connecting our patients to necessary community resources such as housing, education, employment, financial, social services, dental and medical services. Our Social Worker works with women in need of case management and/or therapy services in order to maintain a healthy pregnancy and healthy first year of baby’s life.
Other counseling services include:
- Smoking cessation
- Drug and alcohol abuse
- Depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress and change of life concerns
Areas of practice include Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Strategic therapy.
Meet our All Children's Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists
Jenny Michael, M.D.
Dr. Michael completed her residency at Bayfront Medical Center and attended medical school at St. George's University School of Medicine. She served as educational chief resident at Bayfront Medical, earning a certification in robotic training and the Patient Satisfaction Award. She was principal investigator at Bayfront Medical, performing a prospective study on "Sexual Satisfaction After Total vs. Supracervical Hysterectomy." Her awards include Excellence in GYN Oncology Award 2014, Excellence in Colposcopy Award 2014 and Silent Heart Award 2014. In medical school, she served as Surgery Club president and executive board member.
Sheila Devanesan, M.D.
Dr. Devanesan has practiced in the St. Petersburg area for 10 years and has been active in graduate medical education training at local hospitals. A graduate of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and its residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Devanesan received the Overall Outstanding Teaching Resident Award for 2000. She joined OB/GYN Associates (now All Children’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 2001.
Dr. Devanesan is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also is an active member of the American Medical Association and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Her areas of special interest include minimally invasive surgery (including DaVinci robotic procedures), urogynecology and adolescent gynecology.
Suzanne T. Icely, M.D.
Dr. Suzanne Icely has practiced in the St. Petersburg area since 1998 and has been part of the adolescent gynecology program at All Children’s Hospital since 2006. She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Icely completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Florida College, where she served as chief resident and twice received first-place research awards from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined OB/GYN Associates (now All Children’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 1998.
Dr. Icely is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her special interests include adolescent and general gynecology, low- and high-risk obstetrics, menopause management, vaginal-route surgery and vulvar dermatology.
Laura Politz, M.D.
Dr. Politz received her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine where she served as chief resident. She joined OB/GYN Associates (now All Children's Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 2007.
Dr. Politz is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has a special interest in office gynecology, including adolescent health, preventative health and menopausal management. Dr. Politz currently limits her practice to gynecology.
C. Megan Tirone, M.D.
Dr. Tirone has practiced obstetrics and gynecology for 10 years and joined OB/GYN Associates (now All Children’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 2007. A graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Tirone completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas-Houston and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.
Dr. Tirone is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology. Her areas of clinical interest include all aspects of obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery (including DaVinci robotic surgery), and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
Amy Johnson, MSN, CNM, ARNP
Ms. Johnson received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Florida. She was a labor and delivery nurse and staff educator for 10 years before becoming a certified nurse midwife. She joined OB/GYN Associates (now All Children’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 1999. Her special interests within the field of midwifery include healthcare for the teenage patient, breastfeeding support, and contraceptive education. She is certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Cathi Bedy, MSW, LCSW (Master's in Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
Cathi graduated with her master's from the University of South Florida in 2000 and works with individuals, couples, and families. She joined All Children's OBGYN in 2008 and works with women in need of case management and/or therapy services in order to maintain a healthy pregnancy and healthy first year of baby's life. Also, Cathi works with women suffering from depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, change of life concerns, substance abuse and family conflict. Areas of practice include Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Strategic therapy.
Cathi enjoys running, swimming and spending time with family and friends. Cathi has a one daughter, Melissa, in Tampa working in biotech research and a 17 year old son, Robert that is interested in becoming a mechanic and looking forward to graduating high school and starting his career. She was born and raised in Pinellas County and enjoys many friends and family.
