Learning Objectives:

After attending this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to:

• Recognize the clinical manifestations and laboratory findings in patients with thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA).
• Recognize the distinctive clinical manifestations and laboratory findings in patients with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS).
• Explain the role of the alternative complement pathway in aHUS.
