Janice Pettry is the June 2012 Employee of the Month. Janice works as a Secretary III in the Sleep Lab and has been with All Children's since 2009. Janice was recognized for her Service Excellence by her co-workers who said:

Janice is always willing to go the extra mile for our families to ensure that the experience in the sleep lab is a positive one. Janice is exceptional at preparing the parents for their child's visit to the sleep lab, and clearly informs the staff of any parent or patient special needs or accommodations. She exhibits awareness and compassion towards the patients and parents, and has the foresight to make preparations with the families so their experience during the sleep study is positive. Parents repeatedly express gratitude towards Janice because of how well she listened to their concerns, answered their questions and assisted in making the process of the overnight study a smooth one. Janice was just recognized for her remarkable performance in the complicated and ever-challenging daily task of scheduling patients, and for her contributions in keeping the Sleep Lab running so efficiently. Janice exhibits an insurmountable amount of flexibility, foresight and determination as she maintains the day-to-day administrative operations, and is greatly appreciated for her enthusiasm and commitment. This nomination speaks for the entire polysomnographic technologist team in the sleep Lab.

Janice's Department Director added:
