Denise Spornraft is the March 2009 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month.  Denise works in Speech Pathology as a Speech Pathologist and has been with All Children's since 2004.  Three families recognized Denise's Service Excellence and nominated her for Employee of the Month honors.  One family said: 

Denise is a wonderful speech language pathologist.  The therapy techniques she comes up with to cater to all her patients are amazing and innovative to say the least.  She is always positive and progressive with my daughter and her patience seems endless to us.  We appreciate her caring manner and her motivation to help our daughter grow stronger with her speech, self-confidence and self-esteem.  Our daughter truly loves Ms. Denise and looks up to her as a mentor and a friend.  We can never say enough for Denise's ability and professionalism.  She is great!

Denise is wonderful and the PALS program she oversees has been very beneficial to my son to improve his conversation and interaction skills.  I am thankful there is a PALS program to help him with his expression, conversation and interactions with others.

Denise has been in our life as a speech-language pathologist for almost four years.  She has always been a terrific resource of information, empathy and hope.  As a parent of an autistic child, I was always seeking answers to questions relating to my daughter's behaviors and speech problems.  Denise is always eager to help me find answers.  She single-handedly developed the PALS (Pragmatic Acquisition of Language Skills) language and social skills program for children and it has been wonderful!  We are so grateful to have her in our lives!  The program has helped our daughter tremendously and all the parents in the Pals program are in awe of the gracious, natural way Denise teaches our children.  I feel she was born to do this!  We have learned so much from watching her interact with our kids and from what and how she teaches them.  I truly feel without her guidance, teachings and programs we would have a different child!  Our daughter has come a long way since our first meeting with Denise.  Her dedication to children is amazing, her understanding and devotion to helping kids makes her a hero!
