All Children's tradition for pediatric clinical excellence and patient centered care provide a strong and robust infrastructure that Johns Hopkins Medicine International will leverage in its expansion and integration efforts. As international patient demand rapidly grows, ACH plays an integral part in providing alternative access to pediatric healthcare services and a greater geographical reach to diversify patient markets. The International Program at ACH will drive business development and growth efforts for targeted markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.

January was a busy month for the program with 19 appointments for seven international patients. In addition, staff participated in an Arab Health Conference with Johns Hopkins International in Dubai.

Leading the team is Roberto Sosa, M.D. Dr. Sosa was named Medical Director of All Children's International Medicine program in November 2013. Dr. Sosa has represented the program at conferences in Central America and the Caribbean and will continue to travel to help raise our international profile and develop the clinical relationship. Dr. Sosa is also the Medical Director of Neonatology.

Julia Beresford is Director of the International Program. She is a native of the Caribbean, having worked at Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital for several years in St. Croix of the Virgin Islands. She served as VP of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, oversaw clinical case management and utilization management, and led quality improvement initiatives.

The Senior International Care Coordinator is Cristina Bozenhardt. Cristina's background is based in case management at United Health Care, and she has had extensive experience in care management within juvenile programs and managed care companies.

Diana Retzer serves as the International Financial Coordinator. She has been an employee with ACH for several years, working in Patient Access and Admitting and Registration. She provides an invaluable knowledge of ACH's internal culture and processes.

This team joins the Johns Hopkins International (JHI) program and is composed of a unique and comprehensive set of experiences and skills in both the domestic and international healthcare setting.

Administratively, the new program has a matrix reporting structure between Cindy Rose, ACH's Vice President of Marketing, Branding and Community Relations, and Burak Malatyali, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at JHI.

Please call or email Julia Beresford if you would like more information or a presentation. She can be reached at 767-3047 or
