Drivers Visit the Kids at All Children's Hospital as Grand Prix Week Revs Up

On Thursday, March 22, Ryan Hunter Reay and Sage Karam, drivers from the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg visited the kids at All Children's Hospital with autographed hats, calendars, and toys.

The visit was made possible by Racing for Kids. The Detroit-based organization uses the popularity of motorsports to focus public awareness and funding on the health care needs of children. Racing for Kids has visited more than 20,000 young patients in nearly 400 children's hospitals throughout the world.

The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is run on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn waterfront circuit that includes a combination of adjacent downtown streets and extends onto runways at Albert Whitted Airport. The event marks the start of the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series season.
