Kristen Morrison is the October 2009 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month. Kristen works on 4NW as a RN II and has been with All Children's since 2005. A colleague recognized Kristen's Service Excellence and nominated her for Employee of the Month honors. The colleague said: 

Kristen not only takes very good care of her patients, but she also includes care for the patient's family. She had a patient whose mother had just had a new baby by Caesarean section and a couple of staples came out. The mother was in a lot of pain and Kristen went out of her way to get mom to Bayfront to get care. Kristen stayed late, made several phone calls to help the family with multiple challenges, got a wheelchair ready to have mom transported, and remained attentive to the family's concerns. 

Kristen's Department Director added:

Kristen practices the Service Excellence principles in her daily work. There have been situations where Kristen has really stepped up to bat to ensure the entire family was cared for. Once, she had a patient with cellulitis, whose mother also had cellulitis that was causing re-infection between them. Kristen educated the family, got mom evaluated, and found assistance for the family. Kristen's families consistently state how thorough and caring she is. 

Kristen, thank you so much for all you do. Your service Excellence is what defines All Children's Hospital in the community. Congratulations for receiving the October 2009 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month honors!
