Kadie Nice is the September 2009 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month.  Kadie works on 4SW as an RN II and has been with All Children's since 2006.  A patient recognized Kadie's Service Excellence and nominated her for Employee of the Month honors.  The patient said: 

Nurse Kadie's last name fits perfectly into all the requirements that a nurse needs.  Every word in a thesaurus that describes "nice" describes her too.  She honestly is the best nurse that I have ever had.  She is responsible, dedicated, pleasant, honest, and has a great sense of humor.  Kadie answered my every question and call without a moment's notice.  She was on top of everything before I even called her to complain about pain.  And, she explained everything she was putting inside me so I could understand.  She also paid regular visits to me and I really enjoyed our conversations and laughter.  The only time I was disappointed was when she was off, but she truly deserved her time off.  I felt that this was more than just a job to her, and not just something she enjoyed, but a special calling to help kids. 

Kadie's Department Director added:

Kadie accomplishes the Service Excellence we strive for and provides the comfort and trust our patients and families deserve.  Kadie anticipated need for pain management and comfort and promptly addressed that need.  She also provided education to the patient and family to decrease their stress and anxiety.  Kadie consistently provides excellent care and wonderful Service Excellence. 

Kadie, thank you so much for all you do for the kids and their families and your terrific Service Excellence.  Congratulations for receiving the September 2009 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month honors!
