Melisa Workman is the October 2008 All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month.  Melisa works as a Speech Pathologist at the All Children's Sertoma Therapy Center of Citrus County and has been with All Children's since 2001.  Melisa was nominated for Employee of the Month for her clinical work and Service Excellence by a patient who said:    

I've known you since I was just a little boy.  I was four years old when we met.  I didn't like talking much and didn't know how to express my feelings.  I used to be very angry and my mind was always racing.  I didn't know what a very important part of my life you would be.  You taught me how to talk well and express my feelings in the right way.  We have been together now for almost eight years and I learned so much and have come so far.  You have given me a lot of useful tools to use as I continue to grow.  I will miss you but I will always have my memories of us.  I am very thankful that God gave me you to be such a big part of my life.  Without you I could not be the young man I am today.  I will always stay in touch and let you know all the hard work and dedication that you have given me has paid off.  I will never forget you."   

Melisa is an exemplary Speech-Language Pathologist.  She was the first Speech Pathologist we hired in Citrus County and this young man was one of her first patients.  Many such letters could be written about Melisa, as her dedication to patient care and Service Excellence is second to none.  Melisa is recognized by her peers at ACH for her outstanding clinical work and Service Excellence and has become the lead therapist in our Citrus site for hearing-impaired children.  I am very proud to have Melisa on our staff.   

Melisa, thank you for your outstanding Service Excellence and all you do for our patients and families in Citrus County.  Congratulations for being selected the All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month!
