Melissa Boggs is the April 2012 Employee of the Month. Melissa works as a Physical Therapist - Sports Medicine at All Children's Outpatient Care, Pasco and has been with All Children's since 2008. Melissa was recognized for her Service Excellence by one of her patients who said:

Melissa has been my physical therapist for the past two and one-half years. She has given me stretches and strengthening programs to heal weakness in my hip from Legg Calve Perthes Disease, my back scoliosis, my knee cap dislocation and my ankle strain caused by wing fins and having an extra bone in my foot. Each time she would see me for a couple of months until I was better. I'm a competitive swimmer and with her help I got healthy enough to compete in the Junior Olympics and other important meets. She put together a home program for me and I've been an outpatient for six months now! I'm looking forward to swimming in high school and hopefully in college. Melissa really worked hard with me to help me reach my swimming goals and overcome my orthopedic issues. Swimming means so much to me — when I was younger I had to spend two years on a walker/wheelchair. I love to be able to do a sport. Melissa made such a difference in my life.

Melissa's Department Director added:

Melissa is an excellent physical therapist who has always gone above and beyond in the treatment of her patients and their families. Her patients almost always need immediate/urgent care and she rearranges her schedule daily to accommodate these kinds of patients. Melissa will come in on her day off and see patients if the referring doctor suggests the need. She has helped shape the new Sports Medicine Program at ACH and has often been asked to speak to physical therapy students at USF (University of South Florida) given her vast knowledge base in dealing with pediatric ortho patients. She is sought out by many of the Pasco county referring doctors when they have difficult patients. Melissa is a professional who treats her job and her patients with respect. She is an asset to the Pasco center and to the families that she so unselfishly serves.
