Tamika Terry, RN is the June, 2010 DAISY Award recipient. Tamika is a graduate of Florida Community College and is a nurse in the Emergency Center.   The DAISY Award is presented monthly to an All Children's Hospital Nurse that has provided extraordinary service to our patients.

A family recently wrote:  

"My son has a rare genetic disorder that causes seizures.  I first met Tamika when my son went into respiratory arrest. I was hysterical. She came in and just took charge. I really believe that her leadership assisted in my son being here today.  After that visit we have returned many times for his seizures and it is refreshing that she remembers my son. She seems to be the only one who can draw his blood, so we are always saying, "Where is Tamika?"  I love All Children's Hospital and Tamika is surely an asset that makes ACH so wonderful.

"Tamika first came to All Children's as a traveler," said Tom Conner, RN, Interim Director of the Emergency Center. "Being a perfect fit, she came on board as a full time employee in October, 2008. In the relatively short time she has been here, Tamika has excelled as a valuable team member, bedside nurse, and relief charge. Her perpetual smile and positive attitude are part of her charm and ability to raise the sprits of all those she interacts with. The Emergency Center is proud and honored to have her on our team."
