On Thursday, April 15, Myrrhanda Jones, Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen 2009, paid a visit to All Children's Hospital. Myrrhanda spent time visiting patients in their rooms, signed autographs and joined a large group for crafts and games in the auditorium. Pictured here playing Wii with Cassandra while Cassandra's Father looks on, Myrrhanda enjoyed her visit to ACH, and the patients enjoyed meeting her, too.

Hugs For Hurts is the platform of 17-year-old Myrrhanda Jones of Gainesville. She is Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen 2009 (a "little sister" program sponsored by the Miss America Pageant). Her platform focuses on the physical and emotional well-being of young children who are recovering from traumatic accidents and life-threatening illnesses. She visits hospitals to give patients stuffed animals (lemurs or monkeys) with Velcro hands that can be wrapped around a child to give them a hug.
