All Children's is committed to encouraging and supporting a vibrant biomedical research community that reflects All Children's mission - to provide leadership in child health through treatment, education, advocacy and research in an atmosphere of safety and respect. All Children's policy on financial conflict of interest in research is designed to ensure that all research activities are conducted within the highest ethical and legal standards, and to support institutional compliance with applicable federal regulations.
The policy requires that all investigators identify financial or fiduciary interests with outside entities which may create risks or the appearance of risks in the conduct and reporting of research. This includes all All Children's employees or related individuals who participate in the design, conduct or reporting of research activities, and anyone that is applying for or will be applying for Public Health Service (PHS) funding.
The policy is available for review. Investigators are required to complete a statement of disclosure of financial interests through iRIS®, the All Children's electronic Institutional Review Board protocol submission system, at the time of submission of a new IRB applications and annual continuing reviews.
For Investigators submitting an Extramural Funding Request for a PHS funded research project, a completed Financial Interests in Research Disclosure Form must be submitted to the Department of Research and Grants Administration (Box 9581).
