Weight Management has become a serious, long-term health issue for many teens in the United States, and Tampa Bay is no exception. With the long-term health of today’s teens in mind, All Children’s Hospital is proud to present a weight management and fitness program designed specifically for teens and parents.
This community-based program teaches teens and parents how to adopt and live a healthy lifestyle by making nutritious food choices and having fun with physical activity. These fun and interactive sessions are held weekly at the Largo, Sun Coast YMCA. Teens and parents alike will find themselves in a supportive and social environment that will encourage them to do their personal best and reach their own individual goals.
The classes are a total 12 weeks and run during the Fall, Winter and Summer months. To participate teens must be ages 13 to 18 years old and must pre-registration, attend orientation and have a physician referral.
