US 103.5 Cares for Kids Fifth Annual Radiothon Raises $191,728 for All Children's Hospital
 
Dec. 7, 2012 (St. Petersburg, FL) Tampa Bay's best country radio station once again has stepped up for the region's premiere children's hospital.
 
The fifth annual US 103.5 Cares for Kids Radiothon raised $191,728 for All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, a nearly 7% increase over last year's total.
 
The two-day on-air event on Thursday, Dec. 6 & Fri. Dec. 7 featured families and patients from all across the region and the state - places like Plant City, Dunedin, Melbourne, Trinity, Tampa and St. Petersburg. They shared their stories of expert and compassionate care they received at All Children's Hospital.

The success of the 2012 Radiothon began with a commitment from its Presenting Sponsor, Foresters - a life insurance provider committed to the wellbeing of families. In addition to presenting the hospital with a $10,000 check on-air, Foresters volunteers manned phones to take callers' pledges.
 
"This is a great illustration of community support in the season of giving," said Jenine Rabin, Executive Vice President of the All Children's Hospital Foundation. "Working on the Radiothon phone bank, I was moved to hear the stories of of people giving back to All Children's out of gratitude for the care their loved ones had received - and others giving because they want to support the work that is done here. It's community generosity that helps us to provide top-notch care as we evolve into a leading pediatric academic medical center. We reached our goal of $190,000 this year and this support will directly impact the care that we will continue to provide to our patients and families. We are fortunate that US 103.5 has invested the time and effort to bring our stories to their listeners for the past five years."
