Parents and kids can enjoy the Kids Zone at A Taste of Pinellas in Vinoy Park for free on Saturday, May 5 between noon – 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., kids ages 12 and under remain free, but adults will need to purchase a general admission ticket (or show proof of advance purchase).The Kids Zone includes face painting, a rock climbing wall, arts and crafts, Radio Disney, and interactive health and safety activities from All Children’s Hospital. The Tampa Bay Rays will also be on hand to provide interactive games, prizes and give a ways. The Rays lovable mascot, Raymond, will also make an appearance.  All Children’s Fit4Allkids program will offer sample tasting and recipe suggestions. Great Explorations Children’s Museum will bring fun-filled interactive games and crafts for the whole family. All Children’s Hospital will provide health and safety activities that include: bike and pedestrian safety, water safety, information about medical careers and asthma care. The All Children’s emergency transport vehicle will also be available for tours. Sponsored by Bill Edwards Presents Inc., BrightHouse Networks, ClearChannel and the Tampa Bay Times, A Taste of Pinellas will feature over 40 restaurants from all throughout the Tampa Bay area, serving tastes of their most popular dishes. TastesEach participating restaurant prepares and sells tastes of their most popular dishes. Diners purchase sheets of tickets to spend at booths for tastes. This year, over 40 restaurants through out the Tampa Bay Area will whip up their delicious delicacies for festival attendees. Entertainment HeadlinersBill Edwards Presents A Taste of Pinellas hosts a jam-packed lineup of local and national music acts all weekend long. Friday, May 4, headliners include country music star Joe Nichols, best known for his hits ‘What’s a Guy Gotta Do,’ and I’ll Wait for You.’ Country’s dynamic duo,' Big & Rich will rock the main stage closing the show Friday night with tunes like 'Save a Horse' and songs from their storied career, including the latest track from the Footloose soundtrack, ‘Fake I.D.’ Attendees will enjoy an amazing fireworks display following Big & Rich’s performance. On Saturday, May 5, the stage heats up with the island jams of reggae legend and Grammy winner, Ziggy Marley. Grammy winning best selling artist and free-spirited musician, Sheryl Crow, will hit the stage performing hits like ‘All I Wanna Do' and 'If It Makes You Happy.' Immediately following Crow’s performance is a fireworks show sure to please crowds of all ages. Beer GardenThe Beer Garden at A Taste of Pinellas will offer beer aficionados a sampling of specialty and imported beers including Corona and Corona Light, Redhook, Rolling Rock, Shock Top, and Land Shark. Parking and Shuttle ServiceThere will be a FREE shuttle service available at the following pick-up/drop-off locations:
Shuttles will pick up and return passengers at designated stops every 10 minutes from 4:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Friday, May 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 5; and from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. There will be shuttle buses available to accommodate physically challenged individuals.
