Two of All Children's finest were winners in the Tampa Bay Business Journal's annual Healthcare Heroes Awards, presented October 1 in Tampa. Kellie Gilmore, All Children's Fit4AllKids Coordinator, was honored with the award for Health Educator. And Kristen Rogers, co-chair of Suncoast Pediatric Asthma Coalition at All Children's was selected in the Volunteer category. Rogers, her husband and three children also represented All Children's during Family Advocacy Day in Washington DC in July.
In all, eight All Children's staff and volunteers were finalists in nine different award categories.
A finalist in a new award category this year - Veterinarian - is a friend of All Children's who was nominated by the hospital. Don Woodman, DVM of the Animal Hospital of Northwood is known to many on campus for his role in a cooperative attempt with All Children's Plastic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology and Cleft Palate Team to save two tiger cubs born with cleft palate earlier this year. We extend our congratulations to him as well! |
