Thomas always greets everyone with a smile. He is very diligent with his work and ensures that he gets his job done. Even when there are challenges, he finds ways to manage them. For example, the vendor we use to destroy our Regulated Medical Waste had an operational problem. We had to move all our waste to a storage area. Thomas was instrumental in developing the plan to make this happen and stayed late to ensure everything got done. He disposes of over a million and a quarter pounds of trash a year! It’s not an easy job, but Thomas says it’s his way of helping the children of this community by ensuring they have a clean safe place to receive medical care. Thomas always receives many ‘thank you’ letters from staff for his hard work. He is also a trainer in our department for new employees and is a positive role model for our staff.
