|Happy Nurses Week to our caring and compassionate All Children's Hospital nurses|
Happy Nurses Week to our caring and compassionate All Children's Hospital nurses.
Nurses Week was first observed in 1954 to mark the 100th anniversary of Florence Nightingale's mission to Crimea. In the 1980s, both the American Nurses Association and the U.S. Congress established May 6 as "National Recognition Day for Nurses." The week of observance concludes with Florence Nightingale's birthday on May 12th.
This year's Nurses Week theme at ACH is "Nursing Orchestrates Quality & Innovation in Patient Care." Throughout our organization, nurses are essential to quality, patient safety and delivery of innovative care. They play an integral role in these areas through participation in 100-Day Quality Workouts, Nursing Practice Councils, frontline leadership development training and a host of other activities.
Nurses at ACH are involved in all aspects of our mission through family-centered care, education and research, in quality resources, case management, leadership and advocacy. We thank them for the dedication and commitment they demonstrate each and every day and extend sincere wishes for a Happy Nurses Week.
