|All Children's Nurses Graduate from the RN Residency Program|
Congratulations to the 11 All Children's Hospital Nurses who graduated on March 19th from the RN Residency Program. This group of nurses began their careers at ACH in March 2012. The 12-month program provides graduate nurses and/or newly licensed nurses with knowledge, skills and support as they transition from the academic setting to the hospital setting. Upon completion of the residency, these RNs are skilled and competent to care for acutely ill infants and children.

This cohort also welcomed our first group of Critical Care Track Residents. Four RN Residents have fully transitioned to the PICU & CVICU environments. The Critical Care Residency Track was created last year when ACH identified specific staffing needs in our critical care areas. These residents spent six months in the medical/surgical areas, completed a critical care course, and have transitioned to the ICU.
"The greatest characteristic about our Residency program is that these RNs are the best of the best," said Lisa Moore, RN, MSN, MHA, Director of Pediatric Medicine. "They were selected from hundreds of applicants. We are building a stronger nursing foundation with each and every class. It's exciting to see them transform from new graduates to professional pediatric nurses who are delivering excellent nursing care."
