|High School Students from Takamatsu, Japan Visit All Children's Hospital|
All Children's Hospital welcomed student ambassadors from Takamatsu, Japan on July 30 as part of the annual exchange between sister cities St. Petersburg and Takamatsu.
The students toured the SIM Lab, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Center. They were joined by Malak Mahjoubi from St. Petersburg High and Maya Berrios from Northeast High, who just returned from a two-week visit to Takamatsu as the student ambassadors from St. Petersburg.
"We wanted the students to tour All Children's because it's one of the most renowned hospitals we have here," said Kim Tyre, marketing outreach representative with the City of St. Petersburg. "The visit was also important because Malak is a volunteer here. She wanted to share her experiences with the students from Takamatsu."
"This is a fabulous program," said Beverly Mitlin, a longtime All Children's volunteer and member of the city's International Relations Committee that's responsible for helping select the St. Petersburg students who travel to Takamatsu each year. "All the students learn a lot from each other."
