Provides administrative & secretarial support to the Healthy Start Project Director and assigned Interconceptional and Community Services staff. Provides administrative support to the Community Action Network.
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferred. High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Five years of secretarial, administrative assistant experience required. Previous experience in management preferred. Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary. Proficient in computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and Access required. Knowledge and proficiency in PowerPoint. Requires ability to stoop, crouch, and reach to retrieve files. Mobility to move about the Hospital campus. Requires light work (exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally). Visual and auditory acuity to operate general office equipment required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Excellent proof reading skills. Needs ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal, basic math, strong typing and transcription skills required. Must be able to work independently and prioritize. Requires ability to produce work on demand and within short time frames. Needs ability to effectively deal with stress. Strong organizational skills required. Medical terminology helpful. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license.
