CME Coordinator

Description: Plans, organizes, and coordinates continuing medical education programs and conferences, under the supervision of the Manager, Continuing Medical Education (CME). Works with the Manager of CME to support the Education and Conference Center (ECC) facility and operations. Works with the Director of Marketing to support Community Education events & classes.
Requirements: Associate Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related discipline required; in lieu of degree, 2 or more years advanced education will be considered. Bachelor's degree preferred. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification highly desirable. Five years conference/meeting/event planning experience required - preferably in a health care environment. Proficient in computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; Access software skills preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to independently manage projects, meet deadlines often with short time frames, effectively deal with stress, interact appropriately with diverse clientele utilizing strong interpersonal communication skills, coordinate multiple, concurrent projects utilizing strong organizational skills and flexibility. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful. Supervisory experience desirable. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license
