Prepares and delivers medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Processes returns to carousel; automated dispensing cabinet refills, and charges/credits medications dispensed to patient’s accounts. Completes inspections of medication inventory. Maintains stocked, clean and organized pharmacy environment. Prepares and maintains adequate supply of emergency and standard trays/carts and keeps code carts current.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Active Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration required. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program preferred. Previous hospital or pediatric hospital experience preferred. Training and experience in USP 797 Standards preferred. Math proficiency exam score >80% required. Competency in the preparation of compounded medications preferred. Excellent computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook. Proficiency in operating and maintaining minor equipment
