Clinical Research Assistant

Description: The Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) is responsible for the submission of regulatory documents for research studies to the ACH Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the sponsor. The CRA ensures this is accomplished timely and accurately to ensure regulatory compliance. The CRA also assists the study coordinators with submission of data and biological samples to the sponsor as needed.
Requirements: High school diploma required. 3-4 years’ experience in an office setting is required. Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Must have excellent computer competency including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, web-based applications, and e-mail. Knowledge of research studies on human subjects is preferred. Some knowledge of medical terminology is also preferred. Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, grasping, lifting, pushing, waking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping. Cognitive ability and organizational skills to manage research protocols. Must be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and interact with a wide range of staff, patients and families. Must be able to demonstrate and understand/react to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to communication effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires visual acuity, frequent use of CRT and keyboard with repetitive motion to wrist, hands, fingers and arms.
