The RN Lead Coordinator for transplant and dialysis consistently functions with increasing independence and applies advanced specialized knowledge and skills in the management of the transplant and dialysis departmental staff and patient populations. Initiates collaboration with staff, physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team in developing programmatic quality management plans and strategies to manage the care environment. Demonstrates a commitment to leadership and quality patient outcomes through educational interventions, quality improvement activities, and patient/family/staff interactions.
Holds current licensure or endorsement as a Professional Registered Nurse with the Florida State Board of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in nursing or health-care related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 1-year experience in pediatric nursing required. Current BLS Certification. Experience in care of transplant recipient and chronic renal failure patients preferred. Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling etc.) lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping. Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Effective interpersonal, decision-making skills and problem solving skills. Ability to effectively deal with stress. Read, write, speak, and understand English.
