This is an advanced research assistant position. The Research Assistant III will perform a variety of research related and administrative duties of a routine and technical nature in support of All Children's Research Programs. The Research Assistant will assist Investigators, Study Coordinators and other research personnel in the development and maintenance of study related documentation. The Research Assistant will also assist Investigators, Study Coordinators and other research personnel in organizing, gathering and compiling research data. The Research Assistant is also responsible for data collection and data management throughout of life cycle of assigned research project(s). The Research Assistant will also perform other duties such as data entry, administrative duties such as filing and record keeping, photocopying, maintaining study records, and other duties associated with a project. The Research Assistant III may also participate in assisting with progress reports and grant preparation.
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. Five years’ experience in a health care setting required, or related work experience is preferred. Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and human subject research is required. Must have excellent computer competency including proficiency in using SPSS, Excel, Word, and Endnotes, and other software applications and Outlook email. Prior experience in data collection, database management, statististical analysis, and research design is preferred. Ability to perform physical activity, included by not limited to repetitive motions, grasping, lifting, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping. Must be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and interact with a wide range of staff, patients, and families. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
