Responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, handling, storage, and dispensing of trays, equipment, and surgical supplies. Works independently on weekends, and completes report in the absence of a co-ordinator or manager.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have CSPDT Certification (Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician). Require light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (lift,push,pull). Requires physical mobility to transport patient care supplies/equipment between departments. Must be able to take "call" on weekends, holidays, and during the week when necessary. Specific uniform is required; ACH provided.
