Reviews and verifies prescriber orders, provides bedside patient care through interdisciplinary rounds, provides education, performs medication reconciliation, member of the Code Blue Team, supervises the work output of pharmacy technicians and dispenses medication.
Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy. Active Florida Pharmacist Registration required. Previous hospital and/or pediatric experience preferred. Training and experience in USP 797 Standards preferred. Competency in the preparation of compounded medications unique to pediatric pharmacy preferred. Must be able to function independently with limited supervision. Excellent computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook. Proficiency in operating and maintaining pharmaceutical technology (e.g. Pyxis, Carousel, Smart Pumps).
