Security Officer II

Description: Performs security services to maintain a safe and secure environment for All Children's Health System campus and outreach centers.
Requirements: High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must have a current State of Florida driver's license (with less than 6 current points) and a valid State of Florida security Class D license. Must be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision, use initiative and accept responsibility. Minimum of 3 years of law enforcement or security experience is required or satisfactory completion of one full year of service as an ACH security officer. Must have knowledge of security methods and procedures. Must possess interpersonal skills and enjoy working with and assisting others. Must present a neat and professional appearance. Ability to physically inspect all areas of the hospital campus, which may involve climbing, bending and reaching. May be required at times to lift light to medium objects. Must be able to move quickly to provide response to emergency situations. May be required to physically subdue combative individuals. Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal. Must have excellent hearing, ability to receive and document detailed information through oral communications, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as breaking glass or someone calling for help. Can periodically serve as an acting security supervisor.
