Office Supervisor

Description: Supervises all office staff/office operations in the Outpatient Care Center, in conjunction with the Center Director. Performs functions defined in the Office Assistant II PCD, as needed, per the Center Director.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in business management or related field preferred. Must have ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and have good interpersonal skills. Basic math skills required. Word processing skills required. Knowledge of computer systems and automated billing systems preferred. Familiarity with CPT-4, ICD-9 coding, third party payor requirements, and authorization processes, preferred. Medical terminology required. Judgment and decision-making skills required. Must have visual and auditory acuity to operate general office equipment. Requires ability to climb on step stool, stoop, crouch and reach. Requires light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (lift, push, pull). Must be able to read, write , speak and understand English. Needs ability to effectively deal with stress and work in a hectic environment with multiple interruptions. Supervisory experience in a medical office setting.
