The ARNP provides initial and folow-up medical assessments for employees who experience work related injuries/illnesses and/or exposures. This includes; assessment, treatment, coordination, planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of the medical plan of care. The ARNP is responsible to provide clinical services provided by Employee Health Services including but not limited to: drug screeening, immunizations, health assessments, and fit mask testing. The ARNP will be a consultant for FML, ADA, personal leaves, disease management, and health education.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current ARNP (Family/Occupational Health) licensure by the State of Florida. BLS required. A minimum of two years clinical nursing experience and two years occupational health nursing required. Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills using the English language; requires the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees and physicians. Requires superior organizational skills. Frequent use of a computer terminal which involves repetitive motion to wrist, hands and fingers. Must be able to use general audio/visual teaching equipment. Must be capable of manual dexterity for the administration of immunizations and the performance of clerical and other office duties. Requires mobility throughout the hospital campus. Requires flexibility to work varying hours and occasional weekends. Must be able to interpret policies, procedures and protocols. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and to exercise appropriate discretion in fulfilling responsibilities. Will have frequent access to, and must maintain strict confidentiality of, employees' medical and personnel files
