TAMPA, BRANDON, AND LAKELAND CENTERS, primarily.
Responsible for the safe, accurate performance of pulmonary diagnostic studies and administration of therapy in the laboratory, clinics, and Specialty care centers.
Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Must be a Certified Technician (CRT) or Registered Therapist (RRT) with appropriate Florida DOH license. A minimum of three years of full-time pediatric respiratory care experience required. Certification by the NBRC as a Certified Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT) required. One year of hospital experience in a full-service pulmonary function lab preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, parents, fellow staff and all members of the health care team is essential. Must be certified and able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation - Basic Life Support (BLS). Ability to position patients to properly administer therapeutic modalities as described in the department policy and procedure manual. Ability to perform light lifting. Ability to move about all areas of the hospital campus including hospital outreach clinics in surrounding counties
