The Emergency Center Paramedic is a member of the health care team who performs direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of an RN.
Successful completion of an EMT-P (Paramedic) program required. NREMT-P or Florida License required.
BLS, ACLS required.
PALS within 1 year of hire
Minimum one year experience preferred.
Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering, (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping.
Effective interpersonal relationships and communication required in dealing effectively with patients, parents, physicians, and other ancillary and support staff.
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-pace environment.
Physical ability to perform all essential and other functions.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Auditory and visual ability to complete duties. Accepts mandatory ortho tech call responsibility as deemed necessary by ACH.
