The Patient Care Assistant performs unit tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse [RN]
Meets all PCA 1 & 2 standards
Previous EMT/paramedic experience, training, or certification required; or successful completion of ACH Orthopedic Tech orientation or actively in final year of approved LPN/RN nursing program.
Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.) Lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping
Effective interpersonal, relationships, and communication required in dealing effectively with patients, parents, physicians, and other ancillary and support staff
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-pace environment
Physical ability to perform all essential and other functions
Read/write/speak and understand English
Auditory and visual ability to complete duties
