A key management/leadership position within the hospital organization that is central to the fulfillment of the Hospital’s mission. Operationalizes the core values of the organization by developing and sustaining an environment that supports excellence in clinical practice and the care of patients. Success in the role is measured by clinical performance through outcome driven metrics and fiscal accountability within area of responsibility. The Clinical Director ensures consistency in the implementation of the philosophy of nursing and standards of clinical practice, clinical education, and investigation to advance the art and science of professional nursing practice.
Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse, Master’s Degree required.
Professional Certification required within the first year of employment.
A minimum of five (5) years previous nursing experience, along with two (2) years previous manager/charge nursing experience required, pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping.
Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care.
Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult.
Read/write/speak and understand English.
Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care.
Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff.
Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress.
