The Patient Care Assistant provides patient care and performs designated tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse [RN]
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. MA preferred (Medical Assistant) 1 year of experience working with children preferred. Upon hire must complete the next scheduled ACH PCA Program. BLS Certification when hired or within 30 days Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.) lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping. Physical ability to perform duties and patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult. Read/write/speak and understand English. Auditory and visual ability to provide patient care. Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff. Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress
