The Anesthesia Technician II assists the Anesthesiologist and Anesthetist in the acquisition, preparation, and application of anesthesia equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia for all procedures. The Anesthesia Technician II provides intraoperative support for the Anesthesiologist/CRNA for high risk patients. The Anesthesia Technician II also provides support to the circulating nurse as assigned.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of three to five years experience as an Anesthesia Technician. A graduate of an ASATT program preferred. Certification in specialty required or obtained within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of medical and anesthesia terminology required. Must be able to demonstrate sterile technique. Capable of self direction. Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal effectively under stressful situations
