Pediatric Nurse (Per Diem) with acute care nursing exp at All Children’s Hospital in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Pediatric Nurse on the Neuroscience and Surgery floor will provide care for hospitalized pediatric patients after various surgeries such as ENT, ortho, neurosurgery, or other general surgery. The Pediatric Nurse on the Neuroscience and Surgery floor may also provide care for patients who require monitoring, such as seizure monitoring. The Pediatric Nurse quickly establishes a calming presence and professional rapport with pediatric patients & families with sensitivity to various family dynamics, cultural, ethnic, religious backgrounds, to assess physiological needs. The Pediatric Nurse educates the patient and family about their illness/condition, including discharge instructions, medical follow up, diet/exercise, and medication procedures. Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida (If currently licensed in another state, must have FL license by start date) BSN highly preferred 1+ yr Acute Care RN exp required Pediatrics exp strongly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on patients ranging from infant through late adult, administering medication and IV drips
