Manages the coordination, consultation and oversight of Magnet designation/re-designation for Nursing Excellence. Includes writing and submitting initial magnet report; interim Magnet report; Annual Nursing report and Magnet re-designation applications. In addition, this position includes data collection, submission and preparation of reports related to Magnet dashboard report. Acts as liaison for the project, and facilitates communication and networking with American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and ACH. Participates in research and data collection related to the project, including oversight and management of the Nursing Data base used as part of the annual staff performance improvement. Coordination and presentation of all documents that are submitted to ANCC. Provides leadership in the translation and/or utilization of patient satisfaction data and analysis of NRC Picker outcomes.
Requirements:
Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse, BSN required, Master's Degree preferred. Professional Certification required within first year of employment. A minimum of five (5) years previous nursing experience, pediatric experience preferred. Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping. Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care. Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult. Read/write/speak and understand English. Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care. Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff. Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress.
