he Nursing Education Specialist for Perioperative Services serves as a facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording educational activities for the Perioperative Services Department staff.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in specialty area.
Registered Nurse with current Florida license.
Must have three years pediatric clinical experience with demonstrated clinical and technical ability. Evidence of participation in evidenced based research related to clinical practice Ability to problem solve complex clinical situations.
Demonstrated ability to apply adult education learning theory and educational techniques
Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience.
Applicable certifications such as AHA, and/or eligibility to become trainer certified.
Evidence of leadership skills, and experience with coaching and validation. Works well one to one or in groups. Ability to teach and coordinate training. Ability to move about the hospital campus.
