The RN II consistently applies specialized knowledge and skills in the management of nursing care for specific types of patient populations and their families. The RN II recognizes the need for ongoing evaluation and inquiry to improve patient outcomes. The RN II develops patient specific long-range goals and plans that are managed through organizing, prioritizing, and coping with multiple patient needs and skill requirements. At this level, expected performance outcomes are based upon patient/family/nurse interactions.
Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.) lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping. Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred, BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)within 1 year, Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)within 1 year required. Telemetry certified preferred. A minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.- Cognitive skill required to safely administer medication. Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult. Read/write/speak and understand English. Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care. Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff.
