RN Premier Per Diem

Description:

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN Per Diem(RN {Premier Per Diem) hematology and oncology treatment and pediatric nursing exp at All Children's Hospital, member Johns Hopkins Medicine in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse works with chronically or critically ill Hematology/Oncology patients and will train to focus on patients requiring Bone Marrow Transplant. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse administers chemotherapy and other medications while providing care to pediatric patients. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse builds rapport with pediatric patients and families to assess the physical and physiological needs of the patient. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse seeks opportunities to learn about hematology and oncology treatment to constantly improve and update skills.

All Children's Hospital facility in St. Petersburg, FL offers an opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and an industry leader in children's healthcare. The position is Per Diem (min 90 hrs month) with varying hours.
Requirements:

  • Min Experience: 1+ yr recent Hematology/Oncology exp
  • Current licensure by State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
  • BSN preferred
  • CPON, CPHON or OCN certifications preferred (educational reimbursement available for recert or future cert)
  • Ability to build professional rapport with pediatric patients & families of various backgrounds and cultures
  • Cognitive skill to safely administer medication
  • Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress
  • Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients from neonate to adult.
