The RNIV demonstrates a deep understanding of the unique meaning and impact of health and illness issues for the patient and family. Possessing a vast background of experience, the RN IV recognizes and responds to the dynamic situation by using past experiences to synthesize and interpret multiple, sometimes conflicting, sources of data. The RNIV role models collaborative practice behaviors, provides mentorship, coaches, consults, and demonstrates professional commitment to the health care system. The RNIV engages in the development and implementation of research, quality improvement, leadership, publication, and community education programs for the advancement of clinical practice. The RNIV further performs analysis to demonstrate and support synergized, optimal patient, system, and professional outcomes. At this level expected performance outcomes are based upon patient/family/nurse interactions that impact the healthcare system.
Ability to perform physical activity, including, but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.) lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching, and stooping.
