RN II Competent: The RN II demonstrates an expanding knowledge base in the management of nursing care for specific types of patient populations and their families. The RN II applies more in-depth clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an increased capacity to problem-solve through application of the nursing process. Demonstrates and completes unit-specific Competent Clinical Pathway.
Per Diem RN's will be evaluated using this performance document and department specific competencies.

Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred. RN 4 requires a BSN and/or certification in specialty area.
Pediatric Nursing experience preferred. Some positions may have specific experience requirements.
Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping.
Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care.
Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult.
Read/write/speak and understand English.
Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care.
Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff.
Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress
