MANATEE COUNTY.
The Safe Routes to School instructor will coordinate, implement and evaluate bicycle and pedestrian safety programs for children through community-based activities and special events.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of one year of teaching experience, preferably with elementary or middle school. Bachelor degree in education/health related field or applicable licensure required. Three years of appropriate experience may substitute for degree. Medium muscular exertion. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and reach. Ability to move bicycles and equipment from place to place. Ability to push, pull, and lift heavy objects exerting to approximately 20 lbs or more.Must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to meet qualifications and become certified (or approved) instructor for programming sponsored by the Community Education Dept. Prior experience with special events preferred
