FT MYERS LOCATION
As a licensed Audiologist (AUD) is responsible to provide direct patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the hospital and/or outpatient care centers as assigned. Demonstrates competency in diagnostic assessment, habilitative, and rehabilitative AUD services for patients with medically based hearing disorders. Provides clinical care activities utilizing evidenced based practice to insure a quality culture, and to satisfy customer needs for services, outcomes, and costs. Receives clinical peer review by the AUD Clinical Coordinator.
Requirements:
Master's or Doctorate degree in AUD from an accredited school (ASHAEPB). Certification as an AUD by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) within 12 months of employment. Licensed to practice AUD in the state of Florida. Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience is preferred. Able to understand and react effectively to the age specific needs unique to assigned patients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and command of the English language. Respect for patients, parents, center staff, physicians and members of the community is essential. Demonstrated record of initiative, self-direction, program development, organization, and independence of thought. Flexibility is essential, as work hours are subject to patient care needs and administrative program changes. Travel within the All Children's Health System locations and/or other outlying locations may be required. Must agree to sign a Non-Solicitation Agreement as a condition of employment by All Children's Hospital. Must meet the physical demands of a practicing pediatric therapist including: *moving up and down from the floor and about the center lifting small and medium children alone, assisting in transfers of heavy patients or equipment*physical mobility to interact in clinical activities with infants, toddlers, and young children
