Responsible for the delivery of non-invasive and invasive respiratory care in all hospital areas depending on assessed skill competency and experience.
Requirements:
Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) with two (2) years of criticalcare experience or a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with one (1) year of critical care experience. Pediatric/neonatal ICU experience preferred. Appropriate Florida DOH license required. Must be accomplished in all departmental procedures excluding certification in neonatal/pediatric inter-facility transport. Must be certified and able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation - PALS required. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, parents, patients, fellow staff and all members of the health care team is essential. Ability to position patients to properly administer all therapeutic modalities as described in the departmental procedure manual. Ability to perform light lifting. Ability to move about all areas of the hospital campus
