Learning Objectives: As a result of attending this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish the fundamental differences between photons (X-rays) and protons
  • Correctly use protons across a variety of populations, most notably pediatrics
  • Appropriately refrain from the use of proton therapy in cases where there will be no appreciable benefit
